High Power FM Transmitter
A powerful little electronic circuit with surprisingly good audio quality. Can transmit up to 3/4 of a mile in open spaces. This is one of the most powerful FM transmitters that you can legally purchase. An electret microphone is used to add sensitivity. The circuit comes with a nine volt battery plug, but can operate on 6 to 12 volts DC. Greatest output is at 12 volts, but stay with 9 volts to be legal. PCB is only 3/4" wide by 2-3/4" long.
- L: 2-3/4" W: 3/4" H: 1/2".
- Requires 9 volt battery.
- Microphone will pick up a pin drop.
--> This kit is pretty impressive. It has a good quality to the sound and pretty good range, and it is small. This circuit is perfect for use as spy equipment. This thing can also be used for other creative things you might do. The thing I was annoyed and disappointed with was the fact of how incredibly difficult it was to tune. Not only is the adjustable capacitor very difficult to get to a certain frequency but then to peak the circuit is nearly impossible since you have to manually bend coils. The designers of this kit should use the screw type adjustable coils if possible. Another small thing to note is it is very sensitive to touch and so if held while used be sure not to touch any parts. Also it is much much easier to tune if u have a plastic tuning screwdriver. Besides the issues with tuning this thing is great.
