Some people only want to be able to program 8 or 18 pin serial PICs, for example, for Sony Playstations. This kit is for them, it uses the same P16PRO software as CK1702 but only programs 8 and 18 pin PICs. Price includes all parts and a single-sided PCB. The price does not include the registration of the software. See below. On-board bridge rectifier gives you a full flexible range of power supply input from any power supply: 17-30V DC OR 12-20V AC. (Need a Power Supply?) New PICs can be added by entering them in the device.ini file of the software. You do not have to download new software everytime a new PIC chip is released. Free Software: Go to IC-Prog to find the latest version of software available. This software works with Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP and is free, but not supported. Paid Software: P16PRO software has a 21 day trial period and works under DOS, W3.1, W9x, Me. Software expires after 21 days and you must registered it by email ($US20) at dontronics.com or with Bojan Dobaj. This software will allow you to use most "David Tait" variant programmers to program a very large number of PIC micro devices via the Parallel Printer Port of a PC. Atmel AVR Programmer Reviews:
