1 Watt 2.3 GHz RF Amplifier - MRF2001 Transistor (MicroStrip)

This 2.3 GHz RF amplifier has an output power of approximately 1 Watt with between 80-100mW input power.

The circuit uses a lot of "microstrip" technology, and there are very few components. In fact there are only 6 components, including the MRF2001.

The circuit is designed for a matched input and output impedance of 50 Ohms, which is pretty much the standard for RF amplifiers and transmitters, so it should play nicely as an amplifier, or as a stepping stage in a more powerful transmitter.

This link provides not only the schematic and circuit details, but also performance curves and characteristics information, as well as assembly information and some information on other transistors that may output powers greater than 1 watt.
