Circuit to Power Neon Desk Lamp

This electronic circuit is capable of powering a 4 Watt 6-inch fluorescent tube by converting the 12 Volts DC into a suitable AC power supply voltage (AC mains).

The total DC load should be about 300mA (milliAmperes). And, the circuit can also be used in other instances where a low-current AC Voltage is required. Advantages of the design are: good light, low power consumption, and readily available stock parts.
