Very Basic and Simple 1.5V FM Transmitter - Rebroadcast Sound

Now, this almost brings me back to a time when I was learning about RF circuits and radio transmitters. A very basic FM transmitter that uses a very few components and only 1 transistor.

The circuit quite simply a modulated oscillator, using only 1 single NPN transistor, and no control of any kind

That's right. This is a free-running single stage oscillator with no frequency control of any kind. The oscillator can be modulated by any line level input, however since there are no audio controls, the audio adjustments must be performed on the audio source. There are only 11 components, plus the battery, and a short length of wire which acts as an antenna.

If you are just learning about transmitters and want to build a super-simple experimentation FM transmitter - this one would be close to ideal. You'll get to build and play with coils (an essential component of any transmitter), experience the joys of frequency drift, and have lots of fun broadcasting on the radio too.
